The Royal Canadian Theatre Company (RCTC) is a not-for-profit theatre company based in Surrey BC. The RCTC offers professional and semi-professional local theatre. We tour throughout the lower mainland of BC since 2006. Our goal is to make live theatre accessible for all, being good members of the community, giving back and collaborating with other organizations.
We also offer free mentorship to community members of all ages, backgrounds and cultures with a special emphasis on youth.

Patrons per season!
Our audience covers a wide spectrum ranging from babes in arms to 90+ from all economic and cultural backgrounds. The nature of our Christmas pantomime makes it appealing to people from many differing backgrounds. Our programming in general attracts those who might not otherwise attend live theatre while our standards of production still pleasing the sophisticated theatre audience.

We currently tour six communities and eight venues:
Surrey, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Chilliwack, Vancouver and West Vancouver.
Relaxed Performances
The Royal Canadian Theatre Company
introduced the first Relaxed Performance in 2017 in cooperation with
the City of Surrey at the Surrey Arts Center.
Going Strong
We remain the only company in the GVRD offering Relaxed Performances outside of Vancouver.
